Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) is moving forward with its new authority to reduce speed limits from 25 mph to 20 mph on residential streets. Sadly, PBOT must still jump through a bunch of hoops with the state to reduce the speed limits on collectors and arterials. Rosewood will work with PBOT to make all roads safe for all users At the same time, please remember that almost every accident is preventable, as the article says. You can help by not speeding, drinking/diving, or being distracted.
