HUGE thank you to Portland State University Community Development students for spending nearly 500 hours over the past 6 months helping Rosewood develop a volunteer program. We are so appreciative of your hard work, diligence to detail and willingness to be adaptive to our community needs. It’s been a wonderful learning opportunity to build capacity in our organization and offer a real world learning experience for the students to understand the “complexities of non-profit management,” as you all so eloquently noted!
Special thanks also to the Community Development department, Professors Charles Heying and Richard White for their leadership in connecting theory and practice, and to Trish Graf for helping us write a successful proposal to the program.
