Our June community meeting yesterday was proof that we are making a difference in the neighborhood already! A record number of residents, business and property owners, police officers, and many others came out to support and participate. We’re estimating that around 60 people were there! Although the weather wasn’t perfect, we all worked together to move our BBQ over to Freedom Foursquare Church and had a great event getting to know one another and thinking about some of our shared aspirations for Rosewood.
Very special thanks to Stark Firs Property Management and Hoda’s Lebanese Restaurant for providing food and volunteers and to Freedom Foursquare Church for being such a gracious last minute host.
Many of you shared fantastic ideas about things we can start doing this summer to benefit our community. This is just the beginning, so start spreading the word about what we’re doing, stop by to see us at the Rosewood Cafe (609 SE 162nd Ave), or email us to tell us how you’d like to get involved.
