Energy Assistance Program at:
The Rosewood Initiative Every Wednesday from 10 am – 3 pm (*BY APPOINTMENT ONLY)

If you are in need of this service, please stop in or call Rosewood directly at 503-208-2562 on Mondays Noon-5:30 or Tues-Thurs 10am-5:30pm to schedule an appointment. (Do not leave a message we won’t be able to call you back, please call during these hours).
You do not have to be past due to be eligible for energy assistance.
To apply for energy assistance, you must bring copies of the following required documentation:
1. Current Utility bills (2 bills if applicable PGE & NWNG or PPL &NWNG) 2. Social Security Cards for all household members. 3. Picture Identification for all household members age 18 and over. 4. Gross Income Verification for all household members age 18 and over for the past 30 days.
This can include: 2018 Benefit Verification letter for SSI / SSD (no bank statements) Current letter from TANF (month for which you are applying) Court papers for spousal and child support payments Pension / PERS / Railroad Retirement / Veterans Benefits Most recent pay stubs for the past 30 days from the date of your appointment Proof of unemployment compensation (weeks claimed information) from the Oregon State Employment Office for the past 30 days from the date of your appointment Financial Aid Letter
Also Note: If you are self-employed you must complete a Self-Employment Worksheet and bring in your business records/receipts. If there is a non-relative person in your household over 18 years of age, with zero income, he/she must be present to sign a Zero Income Statement. If you are behind in rent more than 2 months, you will need to have your landlord complete our landlord letter.
You will not be seen if you do not have the required documentation.
Through partnerships with Pacific Power & Light, Portland General Electric, NW Natural Gas and the City of Portland Water Bureau and HEAT Oregon, Self Enhancement, Inc.’s Community and Family Programs help families acquire and maintain affordable home energy and utility services. Our program offers eligible clients emergency assistance for electricity, gas, oil, wood, propane and water discount on a first come first serve basis by appointment
