In August there were three very positive events that happened in Rosewood. Two different apartment communities held their first national night out events! Glendoveer Estates and Sequoia Square held national night out events that brought hundreds of citizens, police, and elected leaders together. These events are very important for community building. We know the better connected a community is, the safer it is. El Porvenir Mini Market on the corner of 162nd/ Burnside held its first ever customer appreciation bar-b-que. Over one hundred neighbors attended the bar-b-que. Yes this was a partly commercial endeavor, but the more important part is it brought neighbor’s together. Thank you to Glendoveer Estates, Sequoia Square and El Porvenir!

Dear Rosewood Community and Partners,
The team here at The Rosewood Initiative is taking COVID-19 and our responsibility to the community very seriously. After much deliberation, we have made the difficult decision to close the center and cancel gatherings until further notice.
