On Saturday night, close to 25 residents from Alder Village apartments came out for a bi-cultural, bi-lingual Bingo and La Loteria family night. Freedom Foursquare Church generously let us to use one of their big community rooms for the event and we are so grateful to have them as an asset right at SE 160th and Alder. Residents spent weeks before hand organizing and collecting prizes from local businesses. Everyone left with something! We had gift certificates for Angel's Hair and Nail Salon, Pappa's Pizza, Sam's Cafe, toys from Stuff 4 Less, furniture and appliances donated by church members, a Nike hat and bag, and tons of other prizes. Hopefully this is the first of many community activities in Rosewood! What kinds of activities would you like to see happen, and would you be willing to plan and help make them happen?
